Job Title:  SR. Oracle PL/SQL Applications Developer
Job Location: Norristown, PA (on-site)

Duration : 18 months

• Design and architect reliable, high-performance functional and technical specifications using extensive knowledge of SDLC database programming in PL/SQL environment.

• Take an active role, develop new functionality, design and implement Oracle PL/SQL solutions that satisfy complex business requirements.

• Focus on system design that provides stability and performance.

• Working directly with business groups, analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

• Oracle IAS development (HTML web pages built with PL/SQL), nice to have.

• Responsible for design and implementation of software solutions that understand the business domain (problems, activities, processes) and apply that understanding to strategic decision making to maximize technology value.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or related discipline (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience designing and developing applications using Oracle PL/SQL technology.

• Self-starter with demonstrated initiative and a drive to deliver outstanding solutions.

• This is a software design role, not just development, so ideal candidates will need more than just coding skill set.

• Experience working on an Agile SCRUM team.

• Performance/security-oriented data modeling and data design, including partitions, different type of indexes, views, and most effective data management practices.

• Extensive knowledge of PL/SQL and PL/SQL tuning.

• Nice to have: Oracle IAS development experience (building HTML web pages with PL/SQL).

• Independent problem solver with ability to provide examples of troubleshooting experience.

• Understanding of SDLC concepts.

Technical Environment:

• Databases: Oracle 10g, Oracle 11g

• Programming Language: Oracle PL/SQL, Shell

Job description:

This position will be working with the Business Solutions practice. This group is project/sales focused and extended contracts are common.
You will be Supporting the HSI/DSL products using VDSL or ADSL2+ technology. Also for Pair Bonding in which they allocate 2 POTS lines for the xDSL connection to the premise to get higher bandwidths, like 20M – 40M. We are looking for resources to help support the redesigning in the DPI billing (AS400) database to automate this process.

Duties:
• Re-architect the application data structure to support conversion and future enhancements. 
• Author requirements document for provisioning and inventory system enhancements. 
• Work with design engineer to understand design of the network for proper authoring. 
• Translate business needs into functional system requirements.
• Experience with all phases of applications life cycle including analysis, design, programming, testing, installation, and maintenance.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of quality in a multi-tasking environment.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders. 
• Supporting enhancement development for the converted products with internal systems. 
• Telecomm IT environment working with AS400 database 
• Broadband technologies 
• Plant inventory/Network inventory 
• Network Design Specific Degree/Certification or industry specific experience 
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related 
• Minimum 7 years’ experience 
• Experience leading teams 
• Telecommunications industry experience 
• Consulting experience
