ID-004 - Layer 2 & L3 Protocols Development
Description:
Candidate will be a member of the Layer 2 development team in the
switching group. Candidate's responsibilities will include development
of Layer 2 protocols and switching infrastructure software.
Requirements:
• Development experience with Spanning Tree Protocol (STP),
MSTP, RSTP, PVST
• Experienced in Ethernet Switching Technologies (VLANs, LACP,
Link Aggregation, etc.)
• Experience with Data Center Bridging, Virtual Switching and
related standards is a plus
• Experience with MPLS and related technologies is a plus
• Strong C coding skills, with emphasis on writing scalable
code.
• must have 5+ years of industry experience
• BE/B Tech/ME in CS/EE
Testing Position
Lead design, execution, and automation of test cases for the Ericsson
Routing Suite.
Work with Systems Engineering, product management and software/
hardware development teams to develop test plans and strategies to
ensure that new products and features meet specifications.
This includes:
• Participation in design reviews
• Writing detailed Functional Test plans
• Design of test bed topologies
• Execution of test cases and clear documentation of defects found
• Development of PERL scripts to automate test cases.
• Assisting development teams in analysis and debugging of defects
• Resource allocation planning
• Participation in reviews of test processes, contributing to
continuing evolution of processes to improve group productivity and
test effectiveness.
• development test experience on a routing/switching platform
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and work independently
• Extensive experience in L2/routing technologies:
- OSPF
- ISIS
- RIP
- Multicast (PIM-SM, IGMP)
- MPLS
- L2
• Strong scripting skills in PERL/TCL.
• Experience in the following areas is desired
o Forwarding
o Middleware
• Test tools
o Agilent N2X
o Spirent
o Ixia
