Job Description: Storage Tester
Mandatory candidate profile:
1. Author and review test plans, test design specifications and test cases.
2. Create, update and maintain test cases in accordance with the test design specifications of product features.
3. Perform test execution on the project assignments.
4. Investigate defects and perform root cause analysis.
5. Should be able to anticipate risk and come up with the risk mitigation plan.
6. Prepare the H/W requirement plan for the features and releases.
- Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions.
- Problem solving skills.
- Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge.
- Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments.
- Project management skills.
Desirable candidate profile:
1. Good knowledge on OS administration and trouble shooting on multiple platforms: Windows / Unix / Linux
2. Knowledge on Virtualization (ESX, Hyper V) will be beneficial.
3. Knowledge of Database and Applications like Oracle/SQL/Exchange would be a critical plus.
4. Must be conversant on some of the filesystems
5. Should have good exposure to Volume Managers and Clustering concepts.
6. Must be conversant in dump analysis on Windows and Unix.
7. Automation exposure will be desirable, should be well versed on one of the scripting language.
Skills: SAN/NAS/DAS
Work Location: Bangalore
Experience : 5 Yrs to 7 Yrs
Communication Skill : Excellent
