Human Inference is a Gartner-recognized data quality vendor with roots in the Netherlands. Since 2010, we have also worked out from Denmark, where our open source data quality solution is formed and acquired.
Last year, Human Inference was acquired by Neopost Group, which operates throughout the world. In partnership with Neopost, Human Inference wants to bring her products beyond are existing customer base and geography, and make the products suited as a solution in the cloud for entry-level customers.
Senior Java Developer: You will be part of a small development team in Denmark and offshore, and of a large organization internationally. Regular communication and potentially on shore visits are part of the job.
Our products are built on a core of open source software that we continuously improve and build commercial solutions on top. You are therefore expected both to participate in the internal development and in the development of open source environments (DataCleaner.org and Apache Meta Model). Experience with open source development and understanding of communities is a plus.
Since the new product line is based partly on existing functionality, and contains a significant part to be developed from the ground up, it is important that you have a creative mind and are adept at designing good software solutions, but also that you can familiarize yourself with existing systems and develop in an existing codebase. There will be plenty of room for both rapid prototyping and solid well-designed solutions in the long term.
You must have talent and interest in programming and architecture. Excellence in Java platform is essential and experience with batch data processing (e.g. ETL, Map-Reduce, streaming, multithreading) and Cloud and SaaS solutions is a plus.
